Abstract:
Provided are a dam formation method that can suppress the occurrence of dam thickness (height) irregularity, and a layered body manufacturing method. The dam formation method is used in a layered body manufacturing method in which: a dam 7 that surrounds an application region 6 on which a filling material is to be applied is formed on a first substrate 3; a filling material 8 is applied on the application region 6; and the first substrate 3 and a second substrate are bonded together with the filling material 8 interposed therebetween. In the dam formation method, a resin composition 1 for dam formation is applied onto the peripheral area of the first substrate 3 at an application speed that is accelerated continuously or stepwise from the start to the end of application, and the resin composition 1 for dam formation that has been applied is cured.
