Abstract:
Provided is a damper which is capable of successfully generating damping force and which enables the damping force to be easily adjusted. This damper is provided with a cylinder (10), a rod (50), a plurality of elastomeric granules (90), and a magnetic field generation section (20). The rod (50) capable of reciprocating in the direction of an axis or capable of rotating about the axis protrudes to the outside of the cylinder (10). The elastomeric granules (90) have the characteristics of a permanent magnet, are elastic, and are filled into the cylinder (10). The magnetic field generation section (20) generates a predetermined magnetic field within the cylinder (10).
