Abstract:
This data collecting device (1) collects data from multiple sensors (5) placed in a distributed manner. The data collecting device (1) comprises: a group determining unit (112) that divides the multiple sensors (5) into groups; a representative sensor determining unit (113) that determines representative sensors in the respective groups; and a sensor control unit (110) that collects data from the representative sensors. The group determining unit (112) implements primary grouping that divides the multiple sensors (5) on the basis of position information of the sensors and secondary grouping that further divides the multiple sensors (5) having been divided by the primary grouping, on the basis of feature amounts included in the data of the sensors.
