Abstract:
A data driving method and apparatus for tile based deferred rendering. The method comprises: constructing hierarchical‑Z buffer data of an object to be rendered at a mobile device (S202); transmitting the hierarchical-Z buffer data to a hierarchical-Z buffer area of a tile memory area of the mobile device (S204); transmitting the hierarchical-Z buffer data from the tile memory area to a graphic processing unit (GPU) of the mobile device (S206); performing view frustum culling and/or occlusion culling on said object on the basis of the hierarchical-Z buffer data in the GPU to obtain tile data (S208); and transmitting the tile data from the GPU to a visibility buffer area of the tile memory area (S210). The technical problems in the related art of system memory occupation and overlarge bandwidth overhead during tile based deferred rendering are solved, memory distribution in a GPU driving channel is balanced, and the data transmission speed and picture rendering speed of the entire GPU driving are increased.
