Abstract:
This data processing device processes original data having data values associated with combinations of a first variable, a second variable, a third variable, and a fourth variable. A processor generates a first matrix, in which a row number corresponds to the direct product of the first variable and the second variable and a column number corresponds to the direct product of the third variable and the fourth variable, on the basis of the original data, and executes approximation processing by using a binarized second matrix in order to approximate the first matrix by the product of the second matrix and a third matrix which are of lower dimensions than the first matrix. Furthermore, the processor generates a fourth matrix, in which a column number corresponds to the fourth variable, by rearranging the respective elements of the third matrix, and executes approximation processing in order to approximate the fourth matrix by the product of a fifth matrix and a sixth matrix which are of lower dimensions than the fourth matrix.
