Abstract:
A data processing method and a decoder, which are used to decode a code word sequence. The method comprises: receiving a code word sequence of which the digital number is n (201); determining an m×n-order check matrix, wherein the basic matrix of the check matrix is an m b× n b-order matrix (202); providing L variable nodes according to the basic matrix (203), wherein L is equal to or greater than the number of non-1 values in a row having the most non-1 values in the basic matrix; for each layer of a check node, respectively mapping valid sub-matrices thereof to the L variable nodes (204); for each layer of the check matrix, sending the data corresponding to the valid sub-matrices to the variable nodes of the L mapped variable nodes respectively; and performing, by means of the L variable nodes, and using the received data, a corresponding operation step in a decoding algorithm for hierarchically normalizing the minimum sum (205).
