Abstract:
A data protection apparatus, a storage device and a storage system. In the solution, an external power source is monitored by means of a power source monitoring module inside a host, and when it is determined that the external power source is powered down abnormally, a backup power module supplies power to a storage device, such that the storage device flushes data, which is being buffered therein, to a storage module. It can be seen that whether an external power source is powered down is monitored by means of providing a power source monitoring module in a host, which is not influenced by the large number of energy storage elements, such as a capacitor and an inductor, in a storage device; and the delay of powering-down monitoring of the external power source is short, such that the storage device is quickly notified to execute a data protection task, thereby avoiding data loss. Furthermore, by means of providing a backup power module at the front end of the storage device, the design complexity of the storage device and the size of the storage device are reduced, thereby also reducing the costs of the storage device.
