Abstract:
The disclosure discloses a data transmission method and device. The method is applicable to a transmitter in an optical transport network (OTN). The method comprises: converting a first frame structure into an intermediate frame structure, wherein the intermediate frame structure is a variable-size ODU frame comprising an effective byte in at least a part of bytes in each clock cycle; and converting the intermediate frame structure into a second ODU frame and transmitting the same to a receiver; wherein the second ODU frame has a rate exceeding that of the first frame structure; the second ODU frame is a regular ODU frame comprising either an effective byte or ineffective byte in bytes in each clock cycle; and a rate of an effective byte in the intermediate frame structure is equal to the rate of second ODU frame.
