Abstract:
The invention relates to a dental impression tray comprising a vestibular flange (2) and a palatal/lingual flange (1) which define a space therebetween for receiving an impression material and which are solidly interconnected by means of at least one connector (5, 6). According to the invention, the connector(s) (5, 6) is/are made form a material having at least two states, namely: a plastic state in which the connector(s) can be shaped according to the desired three-dimensional geometry, and a rigid state. The aforementioned material is selected such that the transition between said two states occurs rapidly in the mouth. The invention is particularly suitable for use in dentistry for carrying out prosthetic work.
