Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to more correctly detect an illegal message in an in-vehicle network. Provided is a detection device comprising: a monitoring unit that monitors a legal message periodically transmitted and an illegal message in the in-vehicle network as target messages; a generation unit that generates a reference time used for a detection processing for detecting the illegal message; a detection unit that performs the detection processing on the basis of a time difference between a time corresponding to a transmission time of the target messages based on monitoring results by the monitoring unit and the reference time generated by the generation unit; and an updating unit that updates a statistic value of the time difference using the time difference between the time corresponding to the transmission time of the target message determined to be normal in the detection processing and the reference time. When the target message is determined to be abnormal in the detection processing, the generation unit generates, on the basis of a value in which the latest statistic value is added to the reference time, a new reference time used for the detection processing for a target message transmitted after the target message determined to be abnormal.
