Abstract:
In this target substance (11) detection method: complexes (13) are formed through the binding of a target substance (11) and dielectric particles (12a) modified with a substance (for example, an antibody (12b)) that specifically binds to the target substance (11) (S110), bound particles (15) that are dielectric particles forming the complexes (13) and unbound particles (14) that are dielectric particles not forming the complexes (13) are subjected to dielectrophoresis in a liquid (S120), and the target substance (11) included in the complexes (13) is detected on the basis of the difference between the dielectrophoretic movement of the bound particles (15) and unbound particles (14) (S130).
