Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is provide a developing device and an image forming device with which it is possible to sufficiently alleviate image defects such as vertical striation or uneven concentrations of toner. This developing device comprises a developing roller which retains toner and rotates, and a developing blade provided with an elastic member which restricts the thickness of the toner layer which is retained upon the outer circumference face of the developing roller. The surface gloss (G) of the developing roller and the surface coarseness of the elastic member (Ra) satisfy the relational formulae Ra<1.0 and G>20.5-(25×Ra). This image forming device develops a latent electrostatic image which is formed in a light-sensitive drum using the developing device.
