Abstract:
In conventional heat pumps, the refrigerant flow directions between an outdoor unit and an indoor unit during heating and cooling are opposite to each other. Thus, for each case, two fluid spaces, two check valves, and two constant-temperature expansion valves are provided to control the evaporation pressure of a refrigerant. In this case, to control an overheating temperature, the constant-temperature expansion valves control the elastic force of a spring (208) by turning a screw (209), thereby controlling the overheating temperature of refrigerant vapor sucked into a compressor. Meanwhile, all refrigerants have characteristics in which a pressure change according to a temperature change is not constant, the pressure change according to a temperature change is small at low temperature, and the pressure change according to a temperature change is great at high temperature. To overcome the physical properties of such refrigerants, the present invention relates to a means for maximizing the compression efficiency of a compressor by minimizing the specific volume of refrigerant vapor sucked into the compressor by always maintaining a constant overheating temperature in spite of a change in the outdoor air temperature, and an apparatus for implementing the means.
