This device A1 for conveying pouch containers conveys a plurality of pouch containers 9 each having a bag body and a spout while aligning the pouch containers 9, and is provided with: a support rail 1 which supports the plurality of pouch containers 9 while the containers are hung by the spouts; a conveying part 2 which sends the plurality of pouch containers 9 toward the downstream side X2 in the conveying direction; a pouch container counting part 3 having a wheel member 31 in which a plurality of recess sections 311, into which the spouts can be fitted, are arranged at a regular pitch in an outer peripheral section of the wheel member and which can rotate around a vertical axis line Ox; and a control unit 4 which controls the operations of the conveying part 2 and the pouch container counting part 3, and counts the number of the pouch containers 9 passing by the wheel member 31 on the basis of the rotation angle of the wheel member 31.
