A device deployment method and apparatus, a device running method, and an electronic device. The device deployment method comprises: encapsulating functional modules corresponding to required device hardware functions under different hardware platforms, and storing the corresponding functional modules under the different hardware platforms in a pre-created functional module library; creating an interface index and a module adaptation layer in the functional module library; and deploying the functional module library between application software and an operating system, such that the application software accesses or calls, when calling a functional interface corresponding to the interface index, the functional module under the corresponding hardware platform by means of adaptation by the module adaptation layer. In the present application, on the basis of adaptation by a module adaptation layer, application software accesses or calls, by means of calling a functional interface corresponding to an interface index, a functional module under a corresponding hardware platform in a functional module library, so as to realize a corresponding device hardware function, thereby effectively saving on development and maintenance costs of the application software, and improving the reusability of the functional module.
