Abstract:
A device for providing an emergency alert service through a mobile broadcast according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a Reed-Solomon (RS) frame encoder for generating an RS frame, which is a two-dimensional data frame, by performing RS-cyclic redundancy check (CRC) encoding for an ensemble; an RS frame divider for partitioning the generated RS frame into a plurality of RS frame portions; a signaling encoder for generating signaling data, which includes a transmission parameter channel (TPC) for signaling a transmission parameter of a mobile broadcast and a fast information channel (FIC) that contains connection information between the ensemble and a broadcast service; a data group formatter for generating a data group which includes a portion of the signaling data and the RS frame portions; and a broadcast signal generation unit for generating a mobile broadcast signal which includes the data group.
