Abstract:
A device and a method for providing a forest fire risk index, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, generate a forest fire risk index model optimized for the Korean Peninsula, and forecast a forest fire risk index for a forecast date by using the generated forest fire risk index model, and thus minimize damage through efficient on-site forest fire preparations (forward deployment of fire-extinguishing resources, and the like) and, further, can reduce the frequency of forest fires by providing necessary information for forest fire prevention.
