Title:
DEVICE FOR A PULSED SUPPLY FINELY DISPERSED SPUTTERING OF LIQUID AND POWDERED FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENTS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2001093955
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to fire-fighting techniques, in particular to devices for a pulse supply and sputtering of liquid and powdered fire extinguishing agents to a source of fire. The inventive device comprises a flap embodied in such a way that in can move in order to close the feeding hole of the fire-hose nozzle. A working channel is embodied inside the flap so that the compressed gas can be passed from an accumulation chamber of the device to the fire-hose nozzle. A mechanism for controlling the flow of the compressed gas is embodied in such a way that the amount of the initial compressed air which is supplied to the accumulation chamber of the device suffices in order to move the flap closing the feeding hole of the fire-hose nozzle, and the amount of the same air which is supplied to the second chamber of the device suffices in order to move the closing valve at a distance equal to the displacement of the flap. The mechanism for controlling the flow of the compressed gas is embodied in such a way that the compressed air in its second state can be removed from the second chamber in order to open the closing valve and feed the compressed air from the accumulation chamber to the fire-hose nozzle through the working channel of the flap. The invention increases a dispersion degree of the sputtered agent during the automatic filling of the fire-hose nozzle therewith.
