Title:
DEVICE FOR REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS OF SHIPS AND SHIP COMPRISING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/080588
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of ships, the device comprising: a seawater supply part (110) for supplying seawater; an absorption liquid production part (120) for producing and supplying a high-concentration CO2 absorption liquid; an absorption tower (130) including a CO2 removal part (133) for reacting an exhaust gas discharged from a ship engine (10) with seawater supplied from the seawater supply part (110), thereby cooling the exhaust gas, and reacting the cooled exhaust gas with the absorption liquid from the absorption liquid production part (120) to convert CO2 into an ammonium salt aqueous solution and thereby remove the CO2; an absorption liquid concentration adjustment part (140) for adjusting the concentration of the absorption liquid supplied from the absorption liquid production part (120) to the absorption tower (130); and an ammonia regeneration part (150) for reacting the ammonium salt aqueous solutions discharged from the absorption tower (130) with a bivalent metal hydroxide aqueous solution to regenerate NH3, and returning the NH3 to the absorption tower (130) so as to reuse same as an absorption liquid, wherein the concentration of the absorption liquid can be maintained constant to prevent a reduction in absorption performance.
