Disclosed are a device for removing oil and dirt from housing parts and a working method, the device comprising: a case body (1), a cleaning station (2) fixedly installed on the case body (1), a conveying line (3) that penetrates the case body (1) and that is located below the cleaning station (2), an X-ray detection apparatus that is disposed in the case body (1) and that communicates with a control system, and an oil and dirt collecting apparatus (4) fixedly installed below the case body. The cleaning station (2) comprises a gantry support assembly (20) fixedly installed in the case body (1), steam spray guns (7) fixedly installed on two sides of a gantry support, a water pipe which communicates with a steam generating apparatus, a jacking apparatus which is fixedly inserted into the two sides of the gantry support to communicate with the steam spray guns and which is fixedly installed at the bottom portion of the conveying line, and a protective cover (21) sleevingly connected to the exterior of the gantry support. The device uses saturated steam under the action of an over-high temperature and high pressure, and the over-saturated steam may be effectively cut into small gaps and holes in the interior of a housing for cleaning.
