Abstract:
A dicarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof according to the present invention is represented by formula (I). (In the formula, Z1a and Z1b are arene rings, R1a and R1b are substituents, k1 and k2 are integers of at least 0, m1 and m2 are integers of 0-4, R2a and R2b are substituents, n1 and n2 are integers of 0-4, A1a and A1b are linear or branched alkylene groups, m1+n1 and m2+n2 each are at most 4, and at least one among m1 and m2 is at least 1) The present invention can provide: a novel dicarboxylic acid, which exhibits a high refractive index and high heat resistance, or a derivative thereof; and a production method and use thereof.
