Title:
DIGITAL EMBOSSING CREATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/037712
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method which does not require an etching step or a brushing step in order to form an embossed surface, which can obtain arbitrary areas and protruding shapes on-demand with inkjet printing on a public device, and which can form finer and sharper protrusions and can form embossing patterns with clear protrusions and recesses. To meet this purpose, a method for creating digital embossing from an actinic energy ray-curable inkjet ink composition is provided, in which a first actinic energy ray-curable inkjet ink composition is made to impact on a substrate surface in liquid drops with a content of 10.0 pl per droplet, and thereafter is irradiated with an actinic energy ray and pinned and cured to form a first layer, and subsequently, a second actinic energy ray-curable inkjet ink composition is made to impact on the first surface in liquid drops with a content of 10.0 pl per droplet, and thereafter is irradiated with an actinic energy ray and pinned and cured to form a second layer, wherein condition 1 and condition 2 below are further satisfied: Condition 1: the viscosities of the first and the second actinic energy ray-curable inkjet ink composition are greater than or equal to 14.0 cps (25°C);
Condition 2: (the surface tension of the second actinic energy ray-curable inkjet ink composition prior to curing) - (the surface tension of the first actinic energy ray-curable inkjet ink composition prior to curing) is greater than or equal to 4.0 mN/m.
