Abstract:
A direct-current brake control circuit having a construction in which an electromagnetic brake solenoid (35) and a transistor (52) for controlling the current in the solenoid are connected in series with a direct-current source (8), and a varistor (4) is connected between the emitter and collector of the transistor (52) for controlling the current in the solenoid so as to clamp the reverse voltage generated across the emitter and collector of the transistor when the current in the solenoid is cut-off.
