Abstract:
A direct current limiter topology suitable for a flexible direct current transmission system, comprising: a current limiting reactor l1, a main loop, and a current limiting loop. The main loop and the current limiting loop are connected in parallel to form a parallel circuit; the current limiting reactor L1 is connected in series with the parallel circuit. The direct current limiter is mounted at a direct current port of a converter station, and when the system works normally, current flows through the main loop; when the system has a fault, a current flow path is switched from the main loop to the current limiting loop, thereby effectively suppressing rapid increase of the fault current. The current limiter topology has less loss under normal operation, and can effectively suppress the rapid increase of the fault current when a fault occurs; moreover, the energy dissipation is fast, and a fault removal duration of a high-voltage direct current circuit breaker can be shortened.
