Abstract:
Provided is a direct current machine with which a high current utilization rate can be achieved, by configuring a direct current machine having a plurality of commutator segments to be commutatorless or brushless. A direct current machine (101) comprises: a rotor including magnetic poles consisting of 2m N-poles and 2m S-poles (where m is an integer); and a stator comprising n coils which have a coil pitch approximately equal to the magnetic pole pitch of the rotor, and which are provided with their phases deviated by 2π/n (where n is an integer equal to or greater than 4m). Each coil has two lead wires, and each lead wire is connected to a connection point of two switching elements of a half bridge, which is constituted by the two switching elements connected to a direct current power source (60). A control circuit (50) switches the switching elements between a conductive state and a non-conductive state so that, in accordance with the positions of the magnetic poles of the rotor (20), the current flows to the coils in different directions between a coil side of a coil opposing the N-pole of the rotor and a coil side of a coil opposing the S-pole of the rotor.
