Abstract:
Provided are: a powder of a pure disilver hydrogen citrate-containing composition in powder form having excellent solubility; and a method for obtaining said disilver hydrogen citrate-containing composition easily and highly efficiently. Also provided are: an antibacterial agent or an antiviral agent containing said disilver hydrogen citrate-containing composition; and a method for producing the same. A method for producing a disilver hydrogen citrate-containing composition according to the present invention comprises the following steps (1) to (3): (1) a step for adjusting a reaction solution which contains a silver compound and a citric acid and has a pH of 2.0-5.5; (2) a step for precipitating a disilver hydrogen citrate-containing composition from the reaction solution; and (3) a step for recovering a precipitated disilver hydrogen citrate-containing composition.
