Abstract:
A disk spring is provided which, by virtue of the characteristic of the spring constant increasing with the amount of deflection, makes it easy to secure required loads without increasing the plate thickness. This disk spring comprises a spring portion (3) which has a round saucer-shape and which is interposed between a pair of rotating members, for example, an outer plate (7) and a piston (9) which engage in relative movement towards and away from one another in the axial direction, and is characterized in that the spring portion (3) comprises a round cross-section portion (11) which is abutted against the outer plate (7), and a linear cross-section unit (13) which is continuous with the round cross-section portion (11), is formed on the inner diameter side and/or outer diameter side of the spring portion (3), is abutted against the piston (9), and can be pressed between the two rotating members in a state of close contact.
