Abstract:
Provided is a dispersion aid useful for the suspension polymerization of vinyl compounds. The dispersion aid comprises a poly(vinyl alcohol)-based polymer (A) which contains a constituent unit represented by general formula (1) in an amount of 0.1-10 mol% with respect to the monomer units of the poly(vinyl alcohol), the poly(vinyl alcohol)-based polymer (A) having a degree of saponification of 15-70 mol%.
