Abstract:
A dispersion liquid according to the present invention contains metal oxide particles that are surface-modified with a silane compound and a silicone compound. If the transmission spectrum of metal oxide particles, which are obtained by vacuum drying this dispersion liquid, within the wave number range of from 800 cm-1 to 3,800 cm-1 is determined by FT-IR, IA/IB ≤ 3.5 is satisfied (wherein IA is the spectral value at 3,500 cm-1 and IB is the spectral value at 1,100 cm-1). If this dispersion liquid and a methyl phenyl silicone are mixed so that the mass ratio of the total mass of the metal oxide particles and the surface modification materials to the mass of the methyl phenyl silicone is 30:70, and a hydrophobic solvent is subsequently removed therefrom, the viscosity of the mixture is 9 Pa·s or less.
