A display assembly (4) comprises a display panel (1) and a light control layer (12). The display panel (1) has a display region (11). The display region (11) comprises a middle display region (A) and a peripheral display region (B) arranged at the periphery of the middle display region (A). The display panel (1) is configured to project light toward an optical device (2). The light control layer (12) is provided at a light emitting side (L) of the display panel (1). An orthographic projection of the light control layer (12) on the display panel (1) at least partially overlaps with the peripheral display region (B). The light control layer (12) is configured to deflect toward a second region (2B) of the optical device (2), at least a portion of the light emitted from the peripheral display region (B) of the display panel (1) and directed toward a first region (2A) of the optical device (2) and at least a portion of the light emitted from the peripheral display region (B) of the display panel (1) and directed outside the optical device (2), after passing through the light control layer (12) The second region (2B) is located away from the center (2C) of the optical device (2) relative to the first region (2A).
