Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a display device, an image generation method and a program with which it is possible to produce such image display that the image displayed on a display unit and the scenery on the outside of a display device look connected. [Solution] The display device is provided with a first image sensor, a first distance sensor, a second sensor, a display unit, and an image generation unit. The first image sensor is arranged on a first face side of the device body. The first distance sensor is arranged on the first face side. The second sensor is arranged on a second face side that is opposite the first face. The display unit is arranged on the second face side. On the basis of the three-dimensional position information of a photographer's viewpoint calculated on the basis of the sensing result acquired by the second sensor, the image generation unit generates, using the two-dimensional image of a subject acquired by the first image sensor and the distance image of the subject acquired by the first distance sensor, a display image that is displayed on the display unit.
