Abstract:
Provided is a display device for displaying medical images, wherein medical images are displayed so as to be observable with high diagnostic accuracy while minimizing power consumption and interference caused by a misadjusted black level and halo. The display device is provided with a light-emitting means, a display means for displaying an image by transmitting light from the light-emitting means an image, an input means for inputting a user operation for designating a region in the image, and a control means for controlling the brightness of the light-emitting means on the basis of the user operation inputted via the inputting means. When the user operation is inputted through the inputting means, the control means causes the light-emitting means to emit light at a brightness higher than the brightness of the light-emitting means before the user operation was inputted.
