Abstract:
Provided is a display device having a light-detection function. This display device has a first pixel and a second pixel. The first pixel has a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The second pixel has a third sub-pixel. Of the sub-pixels included in the first pixel, the first sub-pixel emits the shortest wavelength of light (e.g. blue light or light of a shorter wavelength than blue). The second sub-pixel has a function of receiving light emitted from the first sub-pixel. Of the sub-pixels included in the second pixel, the third sub-pixel emits the shortest wavelength light. The wavelength of light emitted by the first sub-pixel is shorter than the wavelength of the light emitted by the third sub-pixel.
