Abstract:
The present invention provides a display device and a display panel with which it is possible to improve manufacturing yield. The display device comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, through holes passing through the first substrate and the second substrate, and a facing region in which the first substrate and the second substrate face each other. The facing region includes: a display region positioned on the outer side of the through holes in plan view, an image being displayed in the display region; and a frame-form frame region positioned between the through holes and the display region, the frame region surrounding the through holes. The second substrate comprises a colored layer and a light-blocking layer positioned in the frame region. The light-blocking layer has a first groove section formed in a ring shape that is closed along the through holes, the first groove section passing through from the first substrate to the second substrate. The colored layer is positioned in the first groove section and is provided in the entire region of the first groove section in plan view.
