A display device for vehicle capable of displaying the amount of particulate substance deposited in a filter unit for exhaust purification. Vehicle (1) includes distance storing means (46) for storing the travel distance, exhaust purification filter unit (5) for trapping particulate substances contained in an exhaust gas and deposition amount detecting means (25) for determining the amount of particulate substance deposited in the exhaust purification filter unit (5). Display control unit (42) is adapted to at ordinary time, obtain the travel distance from the distance storing means (46) and numerically display the travel distance on segment display part (41) and to on the other hand, when display of the amount of particulate substance deposited is instructed, obtain the amount of deposition from the deposition amount detecting means (25) and display the deposition amount by lighting segment group (61) in a number corresponding to the deposition amount.
