Provided is a frameless plasma-tube-array-type display device such that the shape of the display surface can be changed freely. A display device according to the present invention has a display electrode film (35) provided over one surface of a plasma tube array having a plurality of plasma tubes (31, 31, ⋅⋅⋅) arranged side by side, said display electrode film (35) having arranged thereon a plurality of display electrode pairs (34) including a first electrode (X electrode) and a second electrode (Y electrode) which extend in a direction traversing the plasma tubes (31, 31, ⋅⋅⋅). The frameless structure is configured such that a first drive circuit (38) (X-electrode drive circuit) for driving the first electrodes and a second drive circuit (39) (Y-electrode drive circuit) for driving the second electrodes are both provided at one of either end of the display electrode film (35) in the extension direction of the display electrode pairs (34), while the other end is not restricted by a frame.
