Abstract:
This display device is provided with: a plurality of scanning lines extending in a row direction and arranged in a column direction; a plurality of signal lines extending in the column direction and arranged in the row direction; a plurality of pixels that are electrically connected to the plurality of scanning lines and the plurality of signal lines; a display region in which the plurality of scanning lines, the plurality of signal lines, and the plurality of pixels are provided; at least one of a first switching unit for opening and closing a connection path connecting a first prescribed number, at least equal to two, of scanning lines among the plurality of scanning lines in series, and a second switching unit for opening and closing a connection path connecting a second prescribed number, at least equal to two, of signal lines among the plurality of signal lines in series; and a detecting circuit for detecting a pressing force applied to the display region on the basis of an electric potential detected by causing a current to flow through at least one of a first circuit including the first prescribed number of scanning lines connected in series by the first switching unit, and a second circuit including the second prescribed number of signal lines connected in series by the second switching unit.
