Abstract:

A vehicle door comprising a vertical pillar sash that constitutes a door sash and extends in the raising and lowering direction along one longitudinal edge of a window glass, and a raising and lowering mechanism that raises and lowers the window glass using the drive force of a drive source, wherein: the vertical pillar sash comprises a styling part positioned on the vehicle outer side, and a main body part positioned on the vehicle inner side in relation to the styling part, and having an internal space; the raising and lowering mechanism comprises a slider secured to the window glass, a guide rail that guides the slider so as to be able to move in the raising and lowering direction, and a transmission member that transmits the drive force from the drive source to the slider; the slider, the guide rail, and the transmission member are accommodated inside the main body part of the vertical column sash; and the guide rail limits the movement of the slider in both the vehicle interior and exterior directions on the vehicle interior surface side of the window glass.
