Abstract:
Provided is a drawing device that changes a line width of a segment while drawing an object. The drawing device is provided with: a holding unit that is capable of holding a pen; a first movement unit that relatively moves the holding unit and an object to be processed in an X direction and a Y direction; a rotation unit that rotates the holding unit about a rotational axis line parallel to a Z direction; a storage unit that stores drawing data relating to a position and a length of a segment and angle data relating to a rotation angle of the holding unit corresponding to a line width of the segment for each of a plurality of segments constituting an object; and a control unit. The control unit controls an operation of the rotation unit according to angle data of a previous segment, controls an operation of the first movement unit according to the drawing data of the previous segment, acquires drawing data and angle data of a next segment continuous with the previous segment from the storage unit, controls the operation of the rotation unit according to the angle data of the next segment, and controls the operation of the first movement unit according to the drawing data of the next segment.
