Abstract:
A driving assist device comprises: a determination unit (S140) that, on the basis of a lighting state of a front light (91) of a preceding vehicle (90) located in front of a vehicle (80) and acceleration/deceleration of the preceding vehicle, determines whether or not a brake light (92) of the preceding vehicle has turned on; a calculation unit (S120, S150) that, on the basis of the determination by the determination unit as to whether or not the brake light (92) of the preceding vehicle has turned on, calculates a target acceleration/deceleration (Aacc, Ab) of the vehicle; and a control unit (S200) that controls the vehicle so that the acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle is in accordance with the target acceleration/deceleration.
