Abstract:
Disclosed are a dry torque converter for an electric vehicle and a control method therefor. A dry torque converter for an electric vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a planetary gear connected to an input shaft by a first element, connected to an output shaft by a second element, and variably connected to a fixing part by a third element; at least one eddy-current torque generation part disposed between the first element and the second element and generating an eddy-current to be controlled by a rotation speed of the output shaft; and unidirectional clutches connected to each other so as to connect or disconnect an unidirectional connection between the third element and the fixing part.
