Abstract:
A dryer capable of properly implementing drum alignment in a dryer using an induction motor to drive the drum. The dryer of the present invention is provided with: a cabinet comprising a laundry delivery port allowing laundry to exit and enter; a roughly cylindrical drum that is configured inside the cabinet in a free rotation manner, and a drum opening/closing cover capable of opening/closing a drum opening allowing laundry to exit and enter being configured on the peripheral surface of the drum; an induction motor that is used for driving the rotation of the drum; and a control unit that is used for controlling, in the case that the drum is rotating and a stop instruction is sent to the induction motor, the induction motor to perform drum alignment, so that the drum opening/closing cover of the drum is configured within a range opposite to the laundry delivery port of the cabinet.
