Abstract:
Provided in the present invention is a dual-frequency four-arm helical antenna and a communication device. The helical antenna comprises a printed circuit board and an antenna carrying portion arranged on the printed circuit board, wherein the surface of the antenna carrying portion is provided with four groups of helical arm units which have the same structure, and each group of helical arm units is electrically connected to the printed circuit board; the helical arm units extend upward from the lower end of a side surface of the antenna carrying portion, at least some of the helical arm units are arranged on the top surface of the antenna carrying portion, and the helical direction of the helical arm units positioned on the top surface of the antenna carrying portion is the same as that of the helical arm units positioned on the side surface of the antenna carrying portion. According to the present invention, by arranging some of the helical arm units on the top surface of the antenna carrying portion, the top space of the antenna carrying portion is fully utilized, the requirements on the side surface space of the antenna carrying portion are reduced while ensuring the antenna performance of the helical arm unit; therefore, the height of the antenna carrying portion is reduced, i.e., the height of the entire helical antenna is reduced, and the size of the antenna is reduced, thus facilitating the miniaturization of the antenna.
