Abstract:
A double-pulse excitation method for ultrafast and super-resolution all-optical magnetic recording, comprising: a first excitation pulse and a second regulation pulse sequentially enter an optical magnetic recording medium, so that an all-optical magnetic reversal occurs in an area thereof illuminated by light spots of a laser pulse; and by precisely and flexibly controlling a time delay, a spatial overlapping area and an energy density ratio between double-femtosecond laser pulses, a secondary reversal of a magnetization field can be induced in the spatial overlapping area of the two pulses on an optical magnetic material capable of achieving a single-pulse all-optical magnetic reversal, so as to obtain all-optical magnetic recording exceeding the limitation of a diffraction limit. This recording process occurs on a time scale of hundreds of picoseconds (subnanosecond), providing an effective technical means for ultra-high density and ultrafast magnetic storage.
