Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dye-sublimation printer and a printing method using same and, more specifically, to: a dye-sublimation printer capable of organically controlling the raising and lowering of a pickup roller, the raising and lowering of a platen roller, and the driving of a take-up reel gear, according to the advance and retreat of a slide plate; and a printing method using same. The dye-sublimation printer of the present invention comprises: a pickup motor bidirectionally driven; an idle gear which receives a transmission of driving force of the pickup motor, which has a rotating protrusion provided on one side thereof, and of which both shafts are supported by a frame; a pickup plate having a guide groove which is formed on the outer side thereof in a longitudinal direction and in which the rotating protrusion is restrained; a pickup lever rotating around the shaft of the idle gear; and the pickup roller connected to the other side of the pickup lever so as to be raised and lowered on top of a recording medium.
