Title:
EDDY CURRENT VIBRATION DAMPING DEVICE UTILIZING PRINCIPLE OF LEVERAGE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/029198
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An eddy current vibration damping device utilizing the principle of leverage; the vibration damping device comprises: a casing (1), a connecting screw hole (2), a fixing copper plate (3), a permanent magnet (4), a permanent magnet guide rail (5), a support rod (6), a movable copper plate (7), a mass block (8), a mass block guide rail (9), a spring (10), a connecting rod (11), a hinged screw hole (12), a drive pin (13); when the structure vibrates, energy transfer is first performed by means of a tuned mass damper (TMD) to reduce structural vibrations; then, the mass block drives the permanent magnet by means of a lever system to move in a direction opposite to the mass block, increasing the speed of the relative motion between the copper plate and the permanent magnet, and performing contact-less energy dissipation by means of an eddy current damper. The device utilizes the principle of leverage, effectively increasing the speed of the relative motion between the copper plate and the permanent magnet, and improving the energy dissipation performance of the damper; meanwhile, by means of adjusting the fulcrum of a lever and the length of an arm, TMD parameters may be adjusted such that the device has a wider applicable frequency range.
