Abstract:
Provided is an efficient preparation method for a novel octenyl succinic acid granular starch ester, the preparation method comprising: mixing 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazole acetate ([Emim][OAc]) ionic liquid with deionized water at room temperature according to different mass ratios (2:8/5:5/8:2), using a wet process, taking an ionic liquid aqueous solution as a medium, and subjecting starch and octenyl succinic anhydride to an esterification reaction to generate an octenyl succinic acid granular starch ester. The provided preparation method for the octenyl succinic acid starch ester utilizes the principle that an ionic liquid aqueous solution may have a destructive effect on starch particle structures from different plant sources at room temperature, and causing holes, cavities, wrinkles or other effects may be generated on the surfaces of the granules. The method applies the system to preparation of octenyl succinic acid granular starch esters of different types of starch for the first time. The synthesis efficiency of the octenyl succinic acid starch esters is effectively improved, the particle form of a final product is preserved, and the functional properties of the final product are improved.
