Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device in which disconnection of wiring electrodes is unlikely to occur. The elastic wave device according to the present invention comprises: a piezoelectric substrate including a piezoelectric layer; a functional portion; an insulating layer 4 provided on the piezoelectric substrate; a wiring electrode 7 partially provided on the insulating layer 4; and an external connection electrode member joined to the wiring electrode 7. The wiring electrode 7 has a first portion 7a including a joint portion 7d joined to the external connection electrode member, a second portion 7b that is adjacent to the first portion 7a and located on the insulating layer 4 and that is narrower than the first portion 7a, and a third portion 7c that is adjacent to the second portion 7b and located on the piezoelectric layer, but is not located on the insulating layer 4. A boundary portion between the first and second portions 7a and 7b is a first boundary portion 7e, and a boundary portion between the second and third portions 7b and 7c is a second boundary portion 7f. In plan view, the second boundary portion 7f is not located on a straight line A passing through a center O of the joint portion 7d and the first boundary portion 7e.
