Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric aircraft and a method for controlling the aerodynamic performance thereof with which it is possible to optimize aerodynamic performance of a blade, irrespective of the shape of the blade, in each flight phase or during emergencies such as the effect of a gust of wind. [Solution] An electric aircraft 1 is equipped with: one or more electric propulsion systems 20 having a propulsion propeller or fan 21 positioned so as to contribute to the lifting power of main blades 11, 12, and an electric motor 22 that drives the propeller or fan 21; and a control unit that adjusts the electric propulsion systems 20, on the basis of the relationship between a variable relating to the operation state of the electric propulsion systems 20 and the aerodynamic force generated by the main blades 11, 12, so that the total propulsion force due to the electric propulsion systems 20 or the aerodynamic force of the main blades 11, 12 is at a prescribed value or within a prescribed range.
