Abstract:
This electric booster has a master pressure control device that takes a current limit value A for an upper limit of current to an electric motor corresponding to an amount of operation of an input member if a condition for limiting driving of the electric motor due to reduction of voltage of a vehicle power source holds true. The master pressure control device takes a current limit value B for the upper limit of current to the electric motor corresponding to the amount of operation of the input member if, in a state where a brake pedal is being operated, the voltage of the vehicle power source returns to normal, thereby releasing the condition for limiting the driving of the electric motor. The current limit value B is greater than the current limit value A for when the driving of the electric motor is being limited, and smaller than a current limit value N for when the driving of the electric motor is not being limited.
